This is what your customer receives
A real tow, billed the way it actually happened: the hookup, the loaded miles driven with the car on the deck, the winch-out, and overnight storage. Every line is itemised so the total is never a surprise.

What to bill
What a towing invoice includes
If you run a wrecker, you already know these lines by heart. Here is how each one appears on the document, and why it holds up when a customer questions the total.
Hook-up fee
The flat charge for securing the vehicle to the deck — the base of most tows. Billed once per vehicle, regardless of distance.
“Hook-up fee — heavy-duty wrecker · $125.00”
Loaded mileage
The distance driven with the vehicle actually on the truck, which is what most operators meter rather than the deadhead leg out to the call.
“Loaded mileage — 12 mi @ $4.50 · $54.00”
Winching
Pulling a vehicle out of a ditch, snowbank, or off a guardrail. Priced higher than a standard hookup because of the time and equipment involved.
“Winching / winch-out recovery · $95.00”
Storage
Charged per day once the vehicle sits on your lot. Billed as a running line so the number of days is visible and easy to verify.
“Storage — overnight, secured lot (3 days) · $105.00”
Vehicle condition
A short note on the state of the vehicle when you loaded it — dents, missing keys, flat tyres. The single best protection against a damage claim made later.
“Front bumper scuffed, driver door dented, no keys”
Payment status
Whether the document is an unpaid invoice or a paid receipt, with the date and the method recorded. Cash, card, cheque, or anything else.
“Paid Oct 14, 2026 by Credit Card”
Built for the job
Everything a tow invoice needs.
Nothing it doesn't.
Only the fields you need
Company, customer, vehicle, charges. No account to create and nothing to configure before you can bill a job.
Invoice or paid receipt
Mark it paid and the document becomes a receipt, stamped with the date and how they settled — cash, card, check, or anything else.
Tax your way
Add tax on top of the total, or mark it as already included in your prices. The arithmetic is handled correctly either way.
Towing line items
Hookup, mileage, winch-out, jump start, lockout, fuel delivery, after-hours and storage — the charges you actually bill.
Vehicle and job capture
Plate, VIN, job reference and odometer in the full editor, so a disputed tow is easy to trace back to the paperwork.
Works at the roadside
No app to install and no signal needed once the page is open. The PDF saves or shares straight from your phone.
When a job needs more
The full editor has every field
Plate and job reference, customer address, as many line items as the job needs, tax rate, notes, and a document number you control. Same PDF, more detail.

Can I put my company logo on the invoice?
Not yet — the document is generated from text so it stays crisp at any size and prints cleanly in black and white. It carries your company name, address and phone number in the header instead. A logo upload is on the roadmap.
How do I charge mileage?
Add a line called "Loaded mileage", put the number of miles in the quantity and your per-mile rate in the amount. Twelve miles at $4.50 becomes $54.00. Most operators meter the loaded leg — the distance driven with the vehicle on the deck — rather than the trip out to the call.
Is the PDF a real PDF I can print or email?
Yes. It is a genuine A4 PDF generated on your device, not a screenshot. It opens in any reader, emails as a normal attachment, and prints cleanly in colour or black and white.
How do I make a paid receipt?
Fill in the job, then set the invoice status to Paid — or switch to the receipt builder. The document is stamped paid and records the payment date and the method: cash, credit card, debit card, check, bank transfer, or anything you type. Both come from the same job details, so nothing is retyped.
Can I add tax?
Yes, and you choose how it applies. Add it on top of your subtotal, or mark it as already included in your prices — in which case the tax portion is worked out and shown without inflating the total.
What should a tow invoice include?
Your business details, the customer and vehicle, the pickup and drop-off addresses, the loaded mileage, each charge as its own line, and your payment terms. Noting the vehicle's condition at pickup is the single best protection if damage is claimed later.
Is it genuinely free, and where does my data go?
Free, with no account, no trial, no card and no watermark. The document is built in your browser and the PDF is generated on your device — nothing you type is uploaded to a server, and nothing is stored beyond your own browser.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes. The form is built mobile-first, so it is comfortable in the cab or on the lot, and the PDF saves or shares straight from your device.
Your next tow deserves proper paperwork.
